School buses for non-entitled pupils

Southern Vectis runs a network of school routes for non-entitled pupils. Discounted student tickets are available to buy in our App.

Students who are not eligible for free transport can use our network of school buses across the Island - routes and timetables can be viewed below. Students travelling on these routes will need to buy a Freedom ticket via our App - a simple verificaiton process needs to take place within the app which is quick and easy to do and then you are able to buy a discounted Southern Vectis Freedom ticket (although daily fares are also available).

We are unable to give any advice on whether your child will be eligible for a Council Term Ticket, all enquiries should be made to the School Transport section at the IOW Council who can be contacted on 01983 823780 or by emailing [email protected]

 

School buses for entitled pupils

Southern Vectis runs some school buses on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council for entitled pupils.  Students travelling on these school buses will need a Term Ticket or Privilege Seat Scheme ticket issued by the Council. 

Term tickets for students eligible for free home-to-school transport can be collected from your school reception on the first day of term. Southern Vectis is unable to give advice regarding the provision of Term Time tickets. All enquiries on these buses should be directed to the School Transport section at the IOW Council who can be contacted on 01983 823780 or by emailing [email protected]
