Days out By Bus this bank holiday

It is the last bank holiday before school is back and with a long weekend here we have rounded up some things to do by bus. Remember, All children (up to 15 years) travel for free until the 31st August and dogs are more than welcome to join you on your journey!

The Downs Breezer is a great way to enjoy the breeze in your hair from the open top deck. Leaving Ryde Interchange across the day. The views across the downs are fantastic.  

Summer Links is your route to Tapnell Farm. The Aqua Park is a great way to cool down so take your Swimwear for a dip in the water.

Ryde Carnival Children's day is on Saturday 29th and it is also the Scooter Weekend so Ryde has some great entertainment across the weekend.

Step back in time at The Isle of Wight Bus Museum. They have a collection of classic Southern Vectis buses and memorabilia as well as a cafe and retail area. Get there on routes 2, 3 or 8

Meet the Donkeys at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary Get there on route 2 and 3.

The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is running its annual Island Steam Show. Feel the nostalgia of a by gone era and enjoy traditional fairground rides, arena entertainment as well as a ride on the Steam Train. 

A day out in East Cowes has a few things to offer. Visit the summer residence of Queen Victoria, Osborne House you can even watch the world go by sat on the beach. Get there on route 4 or 5.

Hop over the river to Cowes and visit The Classic Boat Museum where they tell the story of the islands maritime history.

See life in miniature at Godshill Model Village. Wonder around Godshill village and tuck in to a cream tea. Get there on route 2 or 3.

Route 9 takes you to see the Monkeys and Monkey Haven and also the Wooton Station stop for the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
