Hop on board and see the island by bus this Easter Holidays. There is so much to do this Easter and we have put together some ideas of days out for all the family by bus. The Needles Breezer is back and what better way to see the stunning landscape with the wind in your hair from the top deck of an open top bus. With the forecast looking fantastic get your camera ready for the breathtaking scenery. The Needles Breezer is your route to The Needles Landmark Attraction, Needles Battery, Farringford, Freshwater Bay, Fort Victoria Country Park and Yarmouth. Its a jam packed day out in one.
Summer Links starts again on the 28th March. Linking Newport and Yarmouth taking you across the centre of the Island through beautiful rural landscapes. This route will take you through Carisbrooke Village and is the route to catch if you would like to visit Tapnell Farm, Chessell Cafe or Calbourne Water Mill.
Island Coaster also returns on the 28th March and is the longest route on the island. Follow miles of stunning Isle of Wight coastline from the east side round to the west. The Island Coaster is perfect for those who wish to visit The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, Sandown Beach, Shanklin Esplanade, Blackgang Chine, Isle of Wight Pearl, Military Road, Freshwater Bay and so much more.
HoverSafari is back at The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. Find out about the animals in the daily talks and met the now infamous bears Benji and Belu. Jump on the route 8 or 24. If you are travelling over form the mainland HoverSafari gives you Hovertravel, Bus Travel and entrance to The Sanctuary on the all inclusive ticket.
Celebrate new beginnings this Easter at Tapnell Farm! Between Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April experience the magic of spring as you meet adorable new arrivals — playful lambs, curious calves, cheeky goats, and more! It’s the perfect family day out, filled with fresh air, hands-on animal activities, farm crafts and Easter farm trails!
The Great Railway Easter Egg Hunt at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway is running between the 29th March and 12th April. Find the hidden Eggs, solve the clues and receive a Chocolate Easter Egg. Ride the Steam Train through the island countryside and don't miss Train Story an interactive museum. Get there on route 9 to Wootton Station and pick up the Steam Train from there.
Visit the Model Village Godshill for the annual Spot the miniature Egg event! Between Good Friday to Easter Monday there will be tiny eggs hidden all around the garden. Count how many you see and claim a miniature prize. Get there on route 2 or 3.
Step into royal history and join the Easter Quest at Osborne. Between 28th March and 19th April visit Osborne for a fun-filled adventure quest! Follow the Easter trail, hunt for eggs and answer questions along the way to earn a delicious chocolate reward. There is also the Big Brick Build between 3rd - 12th April where you can bring heritage to life with LEGO® bricks. Once you've worked your magic, watch as the expert builders combine all the pieces to bring the grand design to life ready for a royal adventure. Get there on Route 4 or 5.
