Family friendly Festive Fun at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary
Join us at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary this December for a wonderful festive experience, peaceful winter walks and special moments with our donkeys. From meeting Santa to enjoying pony carriage rides, our Festive Weekend is the perfect Christmas day out for families of all ages. Santa Grotto will be running on 20 and 21 December.

An enchanting Christmas experience awaits you and your little ones at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway this December. Board one of the majestic steam trains for a magical journey through wintery woodland from the comfort of a heated and beautifully restored carriage. Settle back and travel in style as you and your family enjoy your own exclusive compartment. Listen to the evocative sound of the steam locomotive as you settle back for the 10 mile round trip. Pre-booking is essential.

Join us at Osborne for a festive day out the whole family will love. Make magical memories as you explore the grounds and enjoy festive activities. Soak up the sights, sounds and scents of Christmas past and present.
Across the house you’ll discover five beautifully decorated Christmas trees. . In the Kitchen Courtyard, from 11am-2.30pm, you’ll find marshmallow toasting, mulled wine, s’mores and refreshments. Gather together around the fire pit for marshmallow toasting - a cosy seasonal favourite for all ages. On weekends until 21 December we will have a festive storyteller reading Christmas fairytales and hosting a fun sing-a-long for families to enjoy. Visit the Education Rooms by the Kitchen Courtyard at 11am, 12pm, 1pm or 2pm to take part. On select days, take part in centrepiece and paper lantern crafts.
