Breeze into Summer as our Needles and Downs Breezers return!
Summer on the island has begun and with things opening up we are delighted to announce the return of our two popular open top routes The Needles Breezer and Downs Breezer!
Starting for the summer season on Saturday 18th July it is the perfect time to take a picturesque ride and experience the natural beauty of the Isle of Wight.
The Needles Breezer is one of the most spectacular bus rides in England. A circular route connecting the West Wight, it follows the island’s dramatic Jurassic coastline, and offers some outstanding countryside views across its route which has had a small change for this summer and now goes via Freshwater village.
The Needles Breezer will run hourly everyday from 10am, leaving Yarmouth Bus Station, until the final bus, which leaves at 5.05pm.
From sandy beaches and rolling hills, to steam trains and tigers, the Downs Breezer has it all. Those on-board will cruise miles of rural countryside, connecting them with the island’s best beaches and attractions.
The Downs Breezer will run hourly everyday from 9.30am, leaving Ryde Bus Station, until 4.30pm until the end of August.
We recently received the Visit Britain industry standard mark ‘We’re Good to Go’ - which recognises its efforts to implement cleaning and social distancing measures for staff and customers during the coronavirus crisis.
Please note that face coverings are compulsory for passengers on all services, unless exempt by law. We also ask that you use contactless payments, whenever possible or purchase your tickets on our clickit2ride mobile app! Simply download, buy, scan and go. Our drivers are protected by specially-designed screens, and our seating is arranged to allow for social distancing. With this in mind, seating on the top deck may sometimes be limited.
To make the most of our seasonal services, we recommend purchasing a Rover+Breezer or a Freedom Ticket. These ticket types enable you to travel where, when and as often as you like for the duration of your ticket.
The Rover+Breezer ticket are available as 24 & 48 hour options. Available to buy from your driver or at one of our travel shops.
Purchased the wrong ticket?
Don't worry, we have also introduced an upgrade ticket so if you have purchased a Rover on one of our regular services and then choose to ride the Breezer later that day. The upgrade ticket will be valid to use on day of issue only; if issued to cover the second day of a 24-hour Rover ticket, the upgrade will only be valid until the expiry time of the 24-hour ticket.
All Freedom and Multi-Day tickets will continue to be valid on the Breezers at no additional charge.
