
We’ve made some small changes to your new Winter Timetable. Please review any updated timetables before planning your journey. The app has real time information and you can track your bus and plan your journey. Our next timetable comes into effect from Sunday 27th September 2026 and runs through to the end of May 2027.
There is a brand new route 33 and some major updates to Route 38 - please see the table below for the details.
The following changes have been made:
Route 2 Route 3 | - These services will return to their winter timetables.
- We’ve made some timetable adjustments to help
improve reliability. - Daytime buses leaving Ryde will depart 5 minutes later
on all days.

| Route 6 | - Minor timetable changes have been made to improve
reliability. - The 0749 journey from Whitwell to Newport and all
journeys after 1855 (Monday to Saturday) will no longer serve Blackgang Chine.

| Route 7 | - No timetable changes.
- Following the closure of West Wight Alpacas, the main
stop in Wellow will now be at Millennium Green.

| Route 8 | - No timetable changes.
- The main stop in Staplers has been renamed from
Long Lane to Mayfield Drive

| Route 9 | - No timetable changes.
- The main stop in Staplers has been renamed from

| BRAND NEW ROUTE | - We’re delighted to introduce Route 33, operating in
partnership with the Isle of Wight Council through the Bus Service Improvement Plan. The new service will:- Run 7 days a week, 364 days a year.
- Connect Newport and Ryde via Havenstreet and
Haylands. - Operate 3 return journeys on Monday to Friday school
days. - Operate 5 return journeys at weekends, in school
holidays and on public holidays.

| MAJOR UPDATE | Route 38 is receiving a major upgrade in partnership with the Isle of Wight Council. The improved service will include: - A new route serving Sylvan Drive, Carisbrooke College,
Fieldfare Road, Carisbrooke Retail Park, Carisbrooke High Street, Whitepit Lane, Newport Bus Station, ASDA, the new St George’s Retail Park and the housing areas surrounding Godric Road. - Earlier morning buses for commuters.
- Buses every 30 minutes during the day.
- New evening services.
- An hourly Sunday service covering the full new route.
The changes also create new links across Newport, making it easier to reach: - ASDA
- Carisbrooke Retail Park
- The new St Georges Retail Park
- Sainsbury’s
- Newport Bus Station for onward connections
Passengers who catch the bus from Hinton Road, Westmill Road or Medina Avenue should now use Route 39 instead. |
| Route 39 | Route 39 will continue to serve Barton, Atkinson Drive, Pan, ASDA and the new St Georges Retail Park, before travelling via Medina Avenue to Newport Bus Station. It will then continue on to serve: - Carisbrooke High Street
- Carisbrooke Retail Park
- Fieldfare Road
The route will no longer serve Riverway or Hunnyhill. These changes create new direct links between Barton, Atkinson Drive, Sainsbury’s and Carisbrooke Retail Park. |
There are no changes to routes 1, 4, 5, 12, 22, 24, 32 or 37
Needles Breezer returns to its Winter timetable until Sunday 1st November - watch out for the service starting again in Spring 2027
Downs Breezer, Island Coaster, Shanklin Shuttle and Summer Links: These services will end for the summer season on Saturday 26th September 2026.
