Leeson Road in Ventnor

Leeson Road in Ventnor will reopen to vehicles including buses from Wednesday 17th July. This is initially until approx 9th September 2024, when it will close for some further work. 

Route 3 will operate via Leeson Road as a diversion, following the same route as before the road closure.  Please note the road will be monitored 24 hours a day and if there is any movement, the road will be closed again immediately. 

Customers from Wroxall / Upper Ventnor will need to revert to catching the bus from the Ventnor-bound stops if travelling to Ventnor, Shanklin, Sandown, Brading, Ryde - only those wishing to travel towards Godshill and Newport should use the Newport-bound stops.

Please Note the timetable on the website and APP will be live from Thursday 18th July and the real time information will be correct from the 21st July so please bear with us while the technological changes take place. 

Island Coaster will continue on the current advertised route and will not go via Leeson Road. We have worked with businesses along the new route and plans are already in place, so it will remain via Wroxall for the rest of the 2024 season.

School buses will revert to their original routes and timings whilst the road is open.
