Route 1/2/3/5/6/7/8/9/12- Newport Main Carnival between 18:30 and 21:00 on the 1st of August

Route 1/2/3/5/6/7/8/9/12- Newport Main Carnival between 18:30 and 21:00 on the 1st of August.

During the above times, the Newport Main Carnival will be in process. All buses will be terminating at Church Litten- opposite Morrisons/ M&S. Diversions will occur as follows:

TOWARDS NEWPORT-

Route 1- Buses will divert from Hunnyhill, left into Hunnycross Way, then via the Slip Road, Dual Carriageway and Coppins Bridge and around the back of Matalan and terminate at Church Litten. Lugley Street bus stop can not be served and buses will not come into the bus station.

Route 2/3/8- will terminate at Church Litten and not come into the bus station.

Route 5/9- buses instead of using South Street will come in via the back of Matalan and terminate at Church Litten, and not come into the bus station.

Route 6/7/12- Buses will come in via Whitepit Lane from Cedar Hill and use St Johns Road to reach Church Litten. Buses will be unable to serve stops from Simeon Monument to Newport Bus Station.

LEAVING NEWPORT-

Please board your bus from Church Litten and not NBS.

Route 1- Buses will depart Church Litten, right past Morisons Petrol Station and then onto Coppins Bridge and the Dual to reach Hunnycross Way and serve Hunnyhill. Towngate bus stop will not be served.

Route 2/3- Will depart from Church Litten, right past Morisons Petrol Station and then continue as normal to St Georges Park/Asda.

Route 5/8/9- Will depart from Church Litten, right past Morisons Petrol Station and then continue down to Coppins Bridge and onto normal route.

Route 6/7/12- Buses will depart from Church Litten, right past Morisons Petrol Station and then continue down to Coppins Bridge up the dual carriageway, left onto Forest Road. Newbridge 7s will then head down past Gunville and get back onto normal route from the Waverly. The 20:55 Route 12 and will do the same as well as the 20:45 Route 6 (unless the road opens earlier than anticipated) that will head down Carisbrooke High Street and resume normal Route from Cedar Hill.

Route 2/3/N3/8- Monkton Street closed until further notice

23rd Jul 2026 onwards

Monkton Street, Ryde will be closed until further notice.

Buses will divert from Park Road onto Bennett Street to reach St Johns Hill and resume normal route.

Stops along Monkton Street will not be served during the closure.
