Farringford is a grade 1 Listed Building and was the main residence of the Poet Laureate Alfred, Lord Tennyson from 1853 until his death in 1892.
Farringford house and grounds have been restored to their Tennyson-era splendour and are open for visitors ( please see website for details)

Please allow an hour to an hour and a half for a house tour & arrive 30 minutes before your tour starts to allow time to walk up to the house.
Access to the gardens is included when you book a house tour.
