We don't require you to have a bus licence as we will provide all the training you need to gain your PCV (bus) licence. We also welcome applications from holders of current PCV licences.
We're looking for great people to join our team working from our depot in Newport, as well as our outstations in Ryde and Alum Bay. You'll need to be a people person with a positive attitude, willing to treat every single customer just how you would want to be treated yourself. You should be customer focused and confident when dealing with people.
Ideally, you should hold a clean UK car licence that you have held for a minimum of 12-months and preferably with no endorsements or penalties.
Whilst not compulsory, preference will be given to applicants who have already obtained their provisional PCV (bus) driving licence. Please contact us for more details on this.
Our drivers work shifts, five out of seven days per week, including weekends and bank holidays. We would require you to work a minimum of 40 hours per week covering early shifts that could start from 4am and late shifts finishing after midnight.
In return you can expect to earn £20,800 per annum basic after a qualifying period, Company pension and free bus travel for you and your immediate family on Southern Vectis and sister companies throughout England. There are regular opportunities to increase earning through overtime.
