Newport to Cowes
via St Mary's Hospital, Parkhurst, Northwood, Park & Ride or Round House

Route 1 & 51 - Emergency closure on Hunnyhill until further notice.
14th Jul 2026 onwards
There is an emergency closure on Hunnyhill due to a water leak. As a result, route 1 buses towards Cowes will divert via Hunnycross Way and the dual carriageway to reach St Mary's Hospital to continue the normal route.
Buses towards Newport will divert from St Mary's Hospital via the dual carriageway and Hunnycross Way to reach St James Street and Newport Bus Station.
The diversion is in place until further notice.
As a result of the closure, stops between St Mary's Hospital and Towngate cannot be served.
The Route 51 will follow the same diversion as the Route 1.

Route 2/62/72- Victoria Avenue, Shanklin closed- We have been informed that Victoria Avenue Shanklin to Whiteley Bank has been closed for emergency works.
Due to the closure, buses will divert from Shanklin Bus Station, via Landguard Road to Lake Morrisons, Apse Heath, Canteen Road and re-join normal route at Whiteley Bank.
The diversion will operate in both directions until further notice.

via Rookley, Godshill, Ventnor, Shanklin, Sandown, Brading, Tesco; includes shuttle buses between Wroxall and Ventnor during road closure

Route 3, 63, 71 & N3 - Steephill Down Road and St Albans Steps bus stop towards Ventnor are out of use until further notice.
9th Jul 2026 onwards
Route 3, 63, 71 & N3 - Steephill Down Road and St Albans Steps bus stop towards Ventnor cannot be served towards Newport as they are in between temporary traffic lights and roadworks. This is due to the works in the Graben.
The nearest stops are York Road and the St Albans Steps towards Newport can be served.

Due to Shorwell Shute being closed the route 12 will divert, from carisbrooke rd via ceder, hill whitcombe rd, sandy lane, chillerton, kingstone rd, sandy way, re joining normal route from walkers lane (The crown Inn) diversion will operate in both directions until further notice,
stops between carisbrooke high street and the crown inn will not be served during this time.

Emergency closure of Upton Road/Butchers Hill.
Route 37 will divert from Pellhurst Road left into Partlands Avenue to resume normal route. Passengers are to use the stop on Partlands Avenue in both directions

Route 39, 49 & 57 - Emergency closure on Hunnyhill until further notice.
12th Jul 2026 onwards
Hunnyhill has been closed for emergency works due to a water leak.
All stops on Hunnyhill including Isle of Wight College cannot be served until further notice.
The Route 39 will divert from Dodnor Lane via the dual carriageway & Hunnycross Way to reach St James' Street.
Route 57 will drop off students for the Isle of Wight College where safe along Forest Road or at St Mary's Hospital.
The Route 49 will drop off customers for the Isle of Wight College where safe along Dodnor Lane. Then continue down through the estate to Hunnycross Way and re-join normal route into Newport Bus station.
Please use either St Mary's Hospital or St James' Street (Towngate) as an alternative bus stop.
