      Monkton Street, Ryde will be closed until further notice.

      Buses will divert from Park Road onto Bennett Street to reach St Johns Hill and resume normal route.

      Stops along Monkton Street will not be served during the closure.

    via Rookley, Godshill, Ventnor, Shanklin, Sandown, Brading, Tesco; includes shuttle buses between Wroxall and Ventnor during road closure

    • Route 3 & Island Coaster - Ventnor Children’s & Main Carnivals -Wednesday 12th August 2026.

      11th - 12th Aug 2026

      On Wednesday 12th August 2026 Ventnor’s Children's Carnival will take place between 12:00 – 15:00 & the Main Carnival will take place between 18:00 – 22:00.

      During the carnivals Routes 3 & Island Coaster will be unable to serve Spring Hill, High Street, Albert Street and Pier Street.

      Buses towards Newport will wait time at Trinity Church, before turning around and diverting along St Boniface Road and rejoin normal route from Mitchell Avenue.

      Buses towards Shanklin will divert along St Boniface Road to Trinity Church, where they will wait time, before turning around and continuing normal route towards Shanklin via Leeson.

    via Chillerton, Chale, Blackgang Chine, Niton, Whitwell

    • Route 6 - Ventnor Children’s & Main Carnivals today Wednesday 12th August 2026.

      11th - 12th Aug 2026

      Route 6 - Ventnor Children’s & Main Carnivals takes place TODAY - Wednesday 12th August 2026.

      Ventnor’s Children's Carnival will take place between 12:00 – 15:00.
      The Main Carnival will take place between 18:00 – 22:00.

      During the carnivals the route 6 will be unable to serve the High Street, Albert Street and Pier Street, therefore the buses are diverting towards Ventnor from Pine Point (Whitwell Road) left into Gills Cliff Road, turning right into Ocean View Road, Mitchell Avenue, left into St Boniface Road to Trinity Church. Buses will wait time at Trinity Church and turn around at the church, then operate the same diversion on the way back to Newport.

    • Route 8/Coaster/Downs Breezer- Delays

      Today 11:49 - 17:00

      Due to a diversion on route and multiple customers using the route, plus summer traffic levels, the Route 8/Coaster/Downs Breezer are seeing delays of up to 30 minutes.

      Calthorpe Road Ryde will be closed for works between 11th August to 14th August, during this time Routes 8, Island Coaster & Downs Breezer will use the following diversions


      During the closure of Calthorpe Road, Route 8 will divert from Church Street turning Right continuing Church Street to Seafield Road, Left onto Bluett Avenue, Duver Road, Springvale Road, Puckpool Hill and re-join normal route at Thornton Cross. The diversion will operate in both directions

      Downs Breezer & Island Coaster will divert from Eddington Road via Seaview Lane, Steyne Road, Right onto Ryde Road, Church Street, Seafield Road, Bluett Avenue, Duver Road, Springvale Road, Puckpool hill. Re-joining normal route from Thornton Cross. Diversion will operate in both directions (Island Coaster only)

    • Brookside Road Closed - Needles Breezer

      10th Aug 2026 onwards

      Due to the closure of Brookside Road Freshwater, the Needles Breezer will be diverting from Gate Lane along Victoria Road, Stroud Road and rejoin normal route from School Green Road.
