The four Northern Counties bodies Volvo Olympians were bought new in 1998 and have Volvo’s own engines.

The first easy access low floor double deckers for Southern Vectis were the seven B7TLs bought in 2002. They have Plaxton President bodies, and their total passenger capacity is the highest in the fleet at 103. They are fitted with CCTV and LED destination displays.

Our newest generation of double deckers is our fleet of Scanias. We have 28 of these easy access low floor buses, all of which have Euro 4 engines, the current tight emission standard for new vehicles. At 4.34. these buses are taller than those they replaced, providing more headroom upstairs. As a result they are fitted with special "tree defenders” made of tubular steel to protect the front of their upper decks. Each of these buses cost £170,000 new.
