Getting to the festival is really easy with our festival express service. It gives you direct coach travel from cities throughout the UK to Southsea, a specially reserved hovercraft over to the island, then a dedicated transfer straight to the festival campsite – for one all-inclusive, great value fare. We'll even help you with your luggage.
During the festival we are running a number of special services, as well as extra late buses on our normal routes to make it as easy as possible for you to get around the island.
Between 0700 on 21 June and 1200 on 25 June, we are running special festival shuttle buses to meet incoming and outgoing ferries and take you directly to and from the festival campsite. These buses will run until 0200 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and all through the night on Sunday.

The Newport shuttle runs between the festival campsite and Newport from Thursday to Sunday between 0700 and 2200. From Newport, you can connect with the rest of our buses, which run daily all over the island.
Newport travel time 15 minutes
Newport is the Island's main town. Close to the bus station are Somerfield, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer. There are also plenty of cafes and pubs in town. Get there on the Newport shuttle.
Sandown & Shanklin travel time 1 hour
Beautiful beaches characterise Sandown Bay, with plenty of pubs and cafes and pier amusements in Sandown. Get the Newport Shuttle into Newport bus station, then catch a route 2 for Shanklin, or a route 8 for Sandown.
Ryde travel time 30 minutes
Ryde features sandy beaches, a long esplanade, and plenty of pubs and cafes. There is also a ten pin bowling alley and an ice rink on the seafront. Get there on the festival shuttle.
Wootton travel time 10 minutes
Close to the festival site, but away from the traffic around Newport, Wootton has a Tesco Express, fish & chips shop, Indian takeaway, Chinese takeaway, chemist, and The Sloop Inn and The Cedars Pub. Get there on the festival shuttle.
Compton Bay travel time 1 hour
Compton Bay, on the south coast of the Island, has a stunning beach loved by surfers. This magical part of the Island, away from all the hustle and bustle, is where the festival crowd sunbathed and swam during the incredible 1970 event. Get the Newport shuttle into Newport bus station, then catch a route 12.
