getting to the festival

During the festival we will be running special shuttle services and extra late buses on our normal routes to make it as easy as possible for you to get to the site.

Between 0800 on Thursday 10 June until 1100 Monday 14 June we will be running direct festival buses to meet every incoming and outgoing ferry to take you direct to and from the festival campsite bus station

staying elsewhere on the Island?

We run an extensive network of buses all over the island every day. Route 1, route 3 and route 9 run 24 hours on Friday and Saturdays. See our routes and times section for full details. There will also be extra buses to Newport, where you can change for a festival shuttle, which will take to directly to the festival campsite.

At the end of each night, we'll be running plenty of buses back to all Island towns directly from the festival campsite.

Children under 14 can obtain half fare on all options.

getting out and about during the festival

The Newport shuttle runs between the festival campsite and Newport between 0800 and 1900
on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
From Newport, you can connect with the rest of our buses, which run daily all over the island.

Newport travel time 15 minutes
Newport is the Island’s main town. Close to the bus station are Somerfield, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer. There are also plenty of cafes and pubs in town. Get there on the Newport shuttle.

Sandown & Shanklin travel time 1 hour
Beautiful beaches characterise Sandown Bay, with plenty of pubs and cafes and pier amusements in Sandown. Get the Newport Shuttle into Newport bus station, then catch a route 2 for Shanklin, or a route 8 for Sandown.


Ryde travel time 30 minutes
Ryde features sandy beaches, a long esplanade, and plenty of pubs and cafes. There is also a ten pin bowling alley and an ice rink on the seafront. Get there on the festival shuttle.

Wootton travel time 10 minutes
Close to the festival site, but away from the traffic around Newport, Wootton has a Tesco Express, fish & chips shop, Indian takeaway, Chinese takeaway, chemist, and The Sloop Brewers Fayre and The Cedars Pub. Get there on the festival shuttle.

Compton Bay travel time 1 hour
Compton Bay, on the south coast of the Island, has a stunning beach loved by surfers. This magical part of the Island, away from all the hustle and bustle, is where the festival crowd sunbathed and swam during the incredible 1970 event. Get the Newport shuttle into Newport bus station, then catch a route 7.

leaving the festival

After the last act on the main stage has finished we are running buses to most towns on the island, including Ryde, Cowes, Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Bembridge (including Seaview and St Helens), Freshwater and Yarmouth until around 1am. From the end of the festival on Sunday 13 June until midday on Monday 14 June, we’ll be running return shuttles back to all departing ferries (including departures through the night).
