If you like sailing (or just like socialising) then Cowes Week is the place to be. Over 1000 yachts take part in the longest running annual regatta in the world, which next year is being held between 31 July and 7 August 2010.
Cowes Week is not all about sailing, however. Since it started in 1826, with only 7 yachts taking part, Cowes week has also become a big part of the social calendar, with the yacht clubs around Cowes hosting balls, cocktail parties, and dinners, with up to 3,000 spectators sampling the atmosphere at the Cowes Yacht Haven, affectionately called the Cowes Marina.
Route 1 is the direct way to get from Cowes from Newport Bus Station from where there are links to all other parts of the Island.
As well as our normal fares we also offer a great range of 1 day and 2 days Rover tickets and Freedom tickets giving unlimited travel across the Island. If you're planning to stay out late to see and hear the sights and sounds of Cowes, why not buy one of our Nightrider tickets which give unlimited travel from 7pm until 7am across our network including our night buses which run all through Friday and Saturday nights.
