Purchased new in 1939, this is the longest serving bus in the country to still be working with its original owner. It has total seating for 56 with 30 on the upper deck and 26 in the lower saloon. For the technically minded amongst you, CDL 899 is a Bristol K5G with Eastern Coach Works highbridge double decker body, which was converted to open top during the winter of 1958/59. It is fitted with a 5 cylinder 7-litre Gardner 5LW engine. What this means is that you are guaranteed to make a stirring entrance, no matter where you go. She really does make you feel special.
