Ventnor Bay has a decidedly Mediterranean feel; the town and beach are south facing, surrounded by high cliffs and St. Boniface Down (the highest point on the island), making this the perfect suntrap.
The beach is approached by a very steep hill passing the beautiful cascade gardens, with stunning views across the new harbour and Bay.
Ventnor beach
The beach is mainly pebbles, but is rightly popular with locals and tourists alike, and is suitable for all ages. Ventnor beach has gained the prestigious blue flag, and the Water Quality Award.
