Compton Bay is a lovely unspoilt beach on the south west coast of the island, situated between Freshwater Bay and Brook. It is a firm favourite with tourists and locals alike, and a great place to hunt for fossils; you can even see dinosaur footprints in some of the rocks. Apart from being great for swimming it is one of the best beaches on the island for surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing.

Like so many of the island beaches it fully complies with Bathing Water Quality standards.
