A beautiful sandy beach in the magnificent west Wight, which is unspoilt and very popular with locals and tourists alike, a real bucket and spade type beach where you can hire deck chairs. The warm shallow waters are a treat for swimmers and water sports, which are separated by safety zones. There are cafes, an amusement arcade and toilets close at hand, and since 1996 Colwell has flown the prestigious Seaside Award Flag, and now displays a Water Quality award.

There is a lovely walk along the seawall to neighbouring Totland Bay, and you can enjoy magnificent views of the many commercial and pleasure boats on the Solent, and see some stunning sunsets.
