Whether you are bringing your car or arriving on foot, the Island is well served by Wightlink, Red Funnel and Hovertravel. Wightlink and Red Funnel operate car ferries from Lymington, Southampton and Portsmouth and foot passenger catamarans from Southampton and Portsmouth whilst Hovertravel use passenger hovercraft to cross the Solent between Southsea and Ryde. Once on the Island there is a fantastic network of buses that provide services to all the major towns and villages.
