• We're Southern Vectis - the Island's buses

    We run the local buses on the Isle of Wight. Our routes connect most parts of the island to all major towns. Buses are frequent with some routes running through the night. Our latest buses have full air-conditioning and plenty of space inside.

  • Island Coaster bike friendly bus !

    Now with departures from Ryde, Newport, Yarmouth and East Cowes, our Island Coaster liveried buses can take up to six bikes on board.

  • The Needles Breezer open top bus ride

    Enjoy one of the most spectacular bus rides in all England - an open top ride that will take your breath away ! The Needles Breezer starts again for the season on 15th March, daily until 2nd November and runs every 30 minutes from 10am until 5pm.

Celebrating 75 years

Time to celebrate as Southern Vectis’ oldest bus turns 75. Locals and visitors to the Isle of Wight will get the chance to celebrate a special birthday this week - when Southern Vectis’ oldest bus turns 75. On Saturday 19th July, 'The Old Girl' will be operating the Shanklin Steamer route for the day.

We're recruiting full-time bus drivers. We're looking for great people to join our team working from our depots in various locations across the Island. You'll need to be a people person with a positive attitude, willing to treat every single customer just how you would want to be treated yourself. A clean driving licence with a minimum of twelve months driving experience is essential.
